Bio
I grew up in a small town about an hour southwest of Houston, Texas called Wallis. Graduated from Brazos High School in 1996, and then spent a year attending Wharton County Junior College. In August of 1997 I attended Sam Houston State University and graduated in May of 2001 with a BFA in Studio Art - Photography.
In August of 2001 I started a career in public education as an art teacher which lasted over 15 years. Teaching in various districts across Texas mostly in a middle or high school position. May of 2018 I decided to leave public education and go after my dream of being a professional artist.
My creativity covers artwork, photography and books that is inspired by my travels, life experiences, and things that I like. I would like for my creativity to inspire others, and bring happiness and healing to their lives.
I currently live in a small town in Kentucky called Frenchburg which is near Cave Run Lake and Red River Gorge. This area give me some great inspiration for a lot of my work. I also spent a lot of time in the Big Bend Area of Texas which is another place has a big influence of my work.
I believe that if you take a look into my world, you will find pieces of yours.
